Of course not Robert, see my post to Bruce Krulwich... This was the way the Oxford scholars had of giving credit for where the comment was made by whom on which scripture...
The Talmudic quotes are from the 15th century of the Aramaic and hebrew Talmud,
I think the Babylonian, but could be the Jerusalem. Research is ongoing..
