  16. I have Lucid Emacs "19.3.23 Lucid". I start it with "-q", then do "C-x
  17. 5", and what happens is that a new Emacs window appears that is blank,
  18. including the (missing) menu bar. Both windows do not accept any
  19. keyboard or mouse input. All I can do is to resize and move the two X
  20. windows. So I wait about 5 or 10 minutes for something to happen, but
  21. nothing changes.

  23. What's wrong? How can I correct this?
