- : Well, if it's OK to pardon Perjurers, Criminals, and Lawbreakers that
- : aided and abetted Bush & Reagan in their illegal schemes, It should then
- : be OK that the others get off too, huh? Fair is fair, now ain't it?
-
- 2 times, Weinberger was brought up on charges of obstructing congress, and
- two times, the charges were thrown out by the judge. Not on appeals, either.
-
- Now, consider why the president has the power of the pardon. I'll tell you
- my opinion: to undo miscarriage of justice.
-
- If clinton chose to pardon people, I would accept it. He may even pardon
- Bush :)
-
- : But that ain't what you seem to argue for. I hope personally, that
- : Walsh hangs bush's ass on a stick.
-
- I hope Walsh hangs YOUR ass on a stick. How does it feel?
-
- : To excuse the massive lawbreaking of
- : the White House by whining about other alledged acts of criminality is
- : stupid. The Ketaing 5 is a good example. Wrist slaps for 4 senators and
- : a rebuke for the one (CRanston), leaving office anyway. But that DOES
- : NOT excuse the perjuries, criminal acts, coverups and pardons of the
- : White House.
-
- Committing a truly heinous crime, such as murder, does not excuse an unruly
- and lawless mob from stringing the accused from the nearest tree, either
- (without due process!).
-
- As for the Keating 5 and countless other scandals committed by OUR government,
- I only suggest that we be fair and sick a maddog persecutor on ALL of them.
- I argue that justice/injustice should be even handed and blind to party
- politics.
-
- : To say it does which essentially is your view is morally
- : corrupt. Now you don't want people on the net to think you are morally
- : corrupt and want the White House Creeps to actually get away with their
- : morally corrupt dirty tricks, do you?
- :
-
- No, I don't want to see anyone in government, congress or the whitehouse
- or supreme court or the local town mayor get away with crimes. I was GLAD
- to see Nixon resign for that very reason. But your Democratic Fascist
- Party that controls our government has two sets of standards - lack of
- justice when the Fascists are the accused, and scurilous accusations, inuendo,
- and abuse of government agencies and power when it comes to dealing with
- any republican executive branch.
-
- As for Bush or Reagan getting away with anything, there is simply ZERO
- credable evidence to support ANY assertion that they were involved with
- any crimes. I am also convinced that there never ever will be any, because
- they were not involved. This includes any kind of conspiracy/coverup
- theory. I happen to believe in innocence until proven guilty in a court
- of law.
-
- I will also point out that YOU are a hypocrite. If you call yourself a
- liberal and are for civil rights, then you should be outraged about the
- clear violation of the rights of the accused in this matter. And I'll
- leave you with this thought: Both Bush and Weinberger chose liberal
- democrat ACLU-type lawyers to defend them for exactly the reason I claim
- (violation of civil rights).
-
- Oh yeah, would you have a problem with eliminating the special prosecutor
- in favor of a special investigator? Unlike the persecutor, an investigator
- is not judge, jury, lawmaker, etc., rolled into one. The investigator would
- dig up the necessary evidence, and then turn it over to the correct authorities,
- who would decide to prosecute or not. If there is credable evidence, no
- attorney general could refuse to prosecute. And often, a crime related to
- state law might be broken, and in this case, the state attorney general
- should be the prosecutor... Or worst case would be that only when credable
- evidence is actually found, then a special prosecutor would be appointed.
-
-
- Food for thought.
