- Well, there is a movie, but first and foremost Lolita is a book
- by Nabakov. The movie isn't bad, but it's not very relevent to the
- book, simply because the girl in the movie is WAY too old. The
- Lolita in the book is about 12--she is a nymphette, not the fully
- developed young woman we see in the movie. The movie is worth
- seeing on its own terms though, Peter Sellars (sp?) is, as usual,
- great in it. The book, however, is even more worth reading, if you
- like excellent descriptive writing. If you're looking for soft-porn
- though, don't bother. That's where all the hype is, but there is
- basically nothing in the book that will get you hot (unless, perhaps,
- you suffer from an unnaturally powerful attraction to nymphettes like
- Humbert Humbert does).

- Obligatory Stern Content: Who was that chick who called in yesterday
- (Thursday morning) and blasted Howard on the topic of Spike Lee? She
- wasted him, he couldn't even get it up enough to hold his own! I
- loved it, seeing Howard have to take it for a change. (Note: this
- is certainly no flame on Howard! It's was just fun to hear him lose
- an exchange, because she was SO good.)
