  14.     All this rhetorical meanderings have tickled me pink..

  16.     Try making/using/creating an RMS Indexed file in VMS C,
  17.     vs VMS Cobol....  Then again, I have never seen anything
  18.     C could do that Cobol couldn't.  Not to mention a C programmer
  19.     that could do it as fast as I could, regardless of verbosity.
  20.     I find it amusing that people site verbosity as a problem
  21.     /annoyance with Cobol.   I dont think I have ever typed
  22.     in a Cobol program from scratch or intend to.  Just use
  23.     them for their strengths and these silly thoughts might
  24.     fade away...
