  15. It is an acronym for "Small Computer System Interface", a standard orginally
  16. developed by Shugart Associates (then called Shugart Associates System
  17. Interface or SASI).  It was approved in 1986 by ANSI as the standard for using
  18. a 50-pin connector for multiple devices (up to eight--including the host) to be
  19. connected in a daisy-chain fashion.
