  15. I have very limited experience with other systems since this is my first PC.
  16. I'm normally on a Mac or several UNIX machines.

  18. I have a 486DX2-50, 16 M mem, Speedstar 24x Graphics controller (I think these
  19. are the main performance bottleneck points), and a Texel 3021 with a Trantor
  20. Card.

  22. I love it!  I have played with a small number of CDs and haven't noticed
  23. any chopy-ness or graphics/audio stutter.  The CDs I tried are US Street
  24. Atlas, Carmen San Diego and Compton's Multimedia Encyclopedia (last year's).

  26. My only complaint was when I tried connecting the audio out of the Drive
  27. into the Sound Blaster Pro board.  Texel didn't include the audio cable
  28. and no one in town had one.  So $15 for the cable and almost $6 shipping,
  29. Texel sent me one.  10" of 3-wire and the cheapest plastic connectors
  30. should be no where near $15.
