  11. The December 21st issue of LAN Times (a predominantly Netware trade mag)
  12. reviewed 8 Network Print Servers. Only one of them listed LAT as a supported
  13. Protocol, that was the ESP1 Multiprotocol Print Server, from LANTRONIX.

  15. The unit is an external box, with serial and parallel ports. I'm still not
  16. entirely sure whether Parallel ports (usually being one-way) are totally
  17. unusable with Print Symbionts that do page counting, and error reporting,
  18. but if that is the case, then you're still limited to using the serial port
  19. for getting the data into the printer.
