- Many state's will prohibit a non-resident's possession of a handgun. It's
- highly unlikely your route will take you through nothing but "friendly"
- states. You should contact each state's attorney general's office for
- information regarding their laws. A short, unloaded shotgun in a locked
- case might get by a few more states but not all of them. Mace / Pepper Gas
- is another option. What a wonderful country we live in
