  15. What:   Fundraising event to support the "Somalia Relief" effort undertaken by
  16.         the American Red Cross.  The program is co-sponsored by various
  17.         organizations from the bay area Chinese-American community.

  20.         U.S. Congressional District, and Educator and retired Dean of
  21.         Engineering of Santa Clara University, Dr. Shu-Park Chan.

  30. Status: So far, over $3,000 collected through talks and contacts with
  31.         individuals and organizations.

  34. A coalition of religious, business, social, charity, professional, ethnic, and
  35. human rights organizations, and many individuals, are joining forces to sponsor
  36. a year-end donation drive to help raise funds to support the Somalia Relief
  37. effort.  All proceed s will go through the local American Red Cross chapter to
  38. support the international rescue mission.

  40. Music/Dance Program starts at 7:00PM.  Donation and fundraising auction starts
  41. at 8:00 PM.  All expenses are paid in advance by various donors.  There is no
  42. admission charge.

  44. Donations are fully tax deductible.  Please send contributions to "Somalia
  45. Relief", P.O.  Box 160308, Cupertino, CA 95016-0308.  Make checks payable to
  46. "American Red Cross" and note on either either side of the checks that it is
  47. for "Somalia Relief".
