- Why am I not surprised? The "Golden Rule" is the epitome of selfish
- behavior: we are advised to treat others with dignity, kindness, and
- respect, etc., NOT because it's proper behavior, but because it will,
- we are told, engender similar behavior toward OURSELVES. The fact
- that both the actor and the acted-upon benefit is irrelevant: the
- behavior is still selfishly motivated. To call this a "refutation"
- of my claim is not only patently incorrect, it's ludicrous.
