- Hi, I wasn't stationed at the HEATH but I was stationed at RAF UPPER
- HEYFORD from 1986-1990. As far the electrical appliances goes the BRITS
- have 220 so a transformer will be required. Finding one shouldn't be a
- problem either. Just have your son or daughters sponsor help them find
- one, they are usually in adundance and reasonably priced. Some of the
- more cultural differences will be the various taxes the BRITS pay. Such
- as Road TAX, MOT, TV TAX and if they live off base being billed quarterly
- for such things as telephone and utility bills. By all means get out and
- see the country. There's alot of history to see Buckingham Palace,
- Windsor Castle, sight seeing tours of London, castles (my favorite),
- catch a ferry ride to FRANCE.
- HAVE FUN !!!
