- in further reply to what the turkish man said, i say that he find out how many
- muslim countries are secular. most, if not all of them are.
-
- they are:
- turkey
- algeria
- mauritanian
- tunisia
- indonesia
- bangladesh
- chad
- egypt
- mali
- morocco
- iraq
- malaysia
- and many more.
- all of these countries are dictatorships. turkey also has its problems. i
- remember a friend of mine was put in jail for a week for talking about the dark
- side of mustafa kamal's personality (love that secular freedom of speech).
-
- all of the new republics of hte former USSR are still communist. they are still
- in the clutches of dictatorial regimes. the only countries that have truly
- tried islam are algeria, sudan, and iran to a less extent. sudan and iran tried
- from on high. sudan seems to be doing well, and iran is not doing as well, but
- those problems came from the war nd a lot of propaganda. algeria tried islam
- from down low (general elections) and the people were killed for that.
-
- i say most of the problems in the world come from dictatorial governments that
- have no interest in islam at all but in preservation of power. it has nothing
- to do with islam but stubborn governments that want to shove SECULARISM down
- our throats.
