- I, for one, am glad that I did NOT sit on that jury bench. Why? Because
- of the passions on both sides of the case and the incredible evidence which
- had to be considered. Being a test/applications engineer by trade, I have
- to look at all angles when things don't work right so that I may best help
- my customer. I always run into problems of "Gee, did I consider every
- alternative?" The jury in this case really had to look at the evidence
- presented to them and could NOT think about any evidence not formally
- allowed into presentation. Still, it would be an incredible help to all if
- we ALL could listen to written testimony or, better yet, a tape of the
- whole trial, to see and hear exactly what the jury did. It seems that any
- newspaper account I read of this trial I just can't trust to know if ALL
- the news is being reported. I'd much rather hear exactly what the jury
- did. This is both the good and the bad of our justice (such as it is)
- system . . . that we can only consider what is presented to us, sorta'
- like newspaper, TV and radio reporting.
