  14.    You want to read sci because its entertaining, because topics
  15.    related to India are discussed, because you feel you are among
  16.    people who know what it means to be Indian. You read it because there
  17.    are people who are interesting to read who post on the net, because 
  18.    you learn new things and see new points of view.

  20.    Only sci is nothing of the sort.
  21.    Its full of religious propaganda, its full of bloated egoes clashing
  22.    day in and day out. Its full of culture-chauvinists and fanatics,
  23.    so much so that you cant read more than 5 of a 100 articles posted in a 
  24.    day.

  26.    So you complain. And hope things will improve.
  27.    But they wont. Because sci has too many idiots running amok.

  29.    Having set the stage, let me unveil the idea simple as ity may seem:

  31.    I invite a discussion on forming alt.culture.indian.moderated

  33.    Just exchange of views, news and interesting stuff. 
  34.    No garbage. 
  35.    No scavengers.
  36.    No looking for articles.
  37.    No test messages.
  38.    No help in visa messages.
  39.    No pakistan bashing.
  40.    No Hindu, Muslim ... bashing.

  42.    Why moderation ? 
  43.    Because some people never learn.
  44.    
  45.    What should be allowed and what should be kept out ?
  46.    The answer here is : All that we dislike in sci is to be left out.

  48.    To the question why ? , I have a simple answer: because sci has become
  49.    unreadable.

  51.    The usenet has great potential.

  66.    group we must think of someway of alowing a panel of people who
