- the riot victims

- Allahabad High Court to hold hearings for worship
- at Ayodhya site

- The central government has asked the states to
- take actions to implement the Prime Minister's
- announcement of giving relief to the victims
- of the recent incidents.

- On Monday the PM Mr. P V N Rao had announced
- the government's decision to award an ex-gratia
- payment of Rs 2 lakhs to the next of kin of each
- person who was killed in the incidents. In cases
- where the deceased was the only earning member of the
- family, employment will be provided for the widow
- or a child. Other amounts of relief were also
- announced for other victims.

- The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High
- Court has decided to continue the hearing on an
- appeal to allow the holding of "darshan" in the
- temple built at the disputed site in Ayodhya.
