  16. Center asks states to implement relief measures for
  17. the riot victims

  19. Allahabad High Court to hold hearings for worship
  20. at Ayodhya site

  24. The central government has asked the states to
  25. take actions to implement the Prime Minister's
  26. announcement of giving relief to the victims 
  27. of the recent incidents.
  28.  
  29.     On Monday the PM Mr. P V N Rao had announced
  30. the government's decision to award an ex-gratia 
  31. payment of Rs 2 lakhs to the next of kin of each
  32. person who was killed in the incidents.  In cases
  33. where the deceased was the only earning member of the
  34. family, employment will be provided for the widow
  35. or a child. Other amounts of relief were also 
  36. announced for other victims.

  38.     The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High 
  39. Court has decided to continue the hearing on an
  40. appeal to allow the holding of "darshan" in the
  41. temple built at the disputed site in Ayodhya.
