- Well this piece of information is indeed true. All of this happened in
- the aftermath of the Roop Kanwar Sati incident in Rajasthan. The whole
- nation was agog with outrage over this incident, and the Swamiji, who
- was and still is regarded as one of the Pontiffs of the Hindu religion
- released a statement in the Press stating his support for Sati.
