  25. Well this piece of information is indeed true. All of this happened in 
  26. the aftermath of the Roop Kanwar Sati incident in Rajasthan. The whole
  27. nation was agog with outrage over this incident,  and the Swamiji, who
  28. was and still is regarded as one of the Pontiffs of the Hindu religion
  29. released a statement in the Press stating his support for Sati.
