  28. FYI, the "sci" in the "sci.*" hierarchy stands for "science", not for 
  29. soc.culture.indian!

  31. There is an existing newsgroup called sci.lang, for example, for discussing 
  32. issues related to linguistics. Similarly there are sci.anthropology, etc, etc.

  34. IMHO, sci.lang.bengali is not an appropriate name (unless we opt to discuss
  35. only issues pertaining to Bengali linguistics :-))
