- In theory, not tipping sounds fine. But all too often I got the
- strangest looks in Sydney when I *didn't* tip (in restaurants). One
- place even had the manager run after me and stop me in the street to
- see why I was so dissapointed with their service!

- So, its all fine and dandy to say "we don't tip in Oz", but if you are
- an American tourist, a fair amount of embarrassment will be avoided if
- you *do* tip.
