- Well, you see, Jack, I was just reading one of your posts when I got a
- telephone call with this hard-metallic voice claiming to be a computer
- called SPECTRE. I then--as you put it--"seemed compelled" to cross-post it
- to sci.physics. By the way, SPECTRE seemed really pissed that you were
- apparently afraid that these revelations might sully your reputation as a
- serious physicist. I assured it, of course, that this thought had never
- entered your mind.
