  20. The trouble that I have, is that no thought is considered to be 
  21. worthe considering unless it has been published, and preferably years 
  22. ago by someone that some other academic has made a career out of 
  23. discussing:-)

  26. The dilemma that anyone has who is trying to introduce new ideas is 
  27. this :-)

  29.            1/. Should he do the degree course, learn the jargon and the
  30.            BS and end up with all the originality knocked out of him, and 
  31.            become a teacher or computer scientist?

  33.            2/. Should he read Ayn Rand or Bohm, and attempt to use some of           
  34.  their less arcane concepts to make a point that Kant o
  35.  Russell
  36.           may have missed, and thereby be labeled irretrievably as a 
  37.           'New Age' lunatic.

  39.           3/. Write it all down and make a popular film about it.

  41.           4/. Go back to masturbation in disgust.

  44. I have a 'strong intuition' that those who espouse Occam, would do 
  45. well to examine ALL the conceptual models of the universe - not just 
  46. the mediaeval time/space/matter/determinism of Newton, or the 
  47. Rational Forms of the greeks and latterly logicians.

  49. That way we might just come up with some simpler and cleaner views of 
  50. the universe, and ourselves.

  52. It is right to be critical of sloppy thinking. That is a logicians 
  53. pregogative. I think it is dangerous to refuse to consider 
  54. alternative possibile models of the universe.
