  12. Anyone happen to know where that proverbial best reference is
  13. that discusses parsers for indexed grammars?  I have a copy of
  14. Gazdar & Mellish, but I don't find the discussion particularly
  15. clear.  One thing that is particularly troublesome about the
  16. book is that although PATR is used throughout, no formal defi-
  17. nition for PATR is ever offered!
