  12. I discovered this group a few months ago and have enjoyed it ever since.  I'm 
  13. especially impressed with the congeniality of the group and lack of flames.
  14.  
  15. It appears that my next project is to provide a basketball hoop and backboard
  16. for #2 daughter.  Is 3/4" pressure treated plywood an appropriate choice for the
  17. backboard?  Should the edges be treated in any special way to accommodate the
  18. weather?  I have in mind that the plywood should be allowed to weather for a 
  19. period of weeks/months before painting.  Correct?  Those with experience please
  20. share your insights.  thanks jb
