- I recently went through this - I bought the Jet 6" jointer for 400 even
- and am pleased with it. It's definately not the greatest, but after some
- basic alignment, the tables are co-planer and the fence is at 90 degrees.
- It's fairly quiet, unlike the Ryobi. Since the Ryobi is not a _whole_
- lot less, I figured this was a better deal. I'd bet that the other
- Taiwanese brands are probably as good. But, I'm happy with the Jet
- and don't foresee outgrowing it for quite a long time.
