- Has anyone had any experience with the Uniden 4800 super? I am considering
- making a purchase to replace my existing IRD. It is a Zenith 6000. It is
- still in good working order, with the exception of a few minor problems.
- The main reason I want the Uniden is the "built in superguide" that I keep
- hearing about. I would like something that is easier for other family
- members to use. So I don't have to always be the one to find the program
- that someone else wants to watch. Please respond to the following:
- 1. How complete is the superguide?
- 2. How does it compare to the printed guides out there?
- 3. Is it simple enough that even the most technically backward could use it?
- 4. How does the picture quality of the Uniden 4800 compare to other units
- you have used?
- 5. How is the superguide updated? Does the unit have to be left on overnight?
- 6. In general, is this unit worth the expense of replacing a perfectly good
- working IRD, just for the added convenience?
