- Just to follow this up...
-
- Does anybody know if truck stops PAY to show Trucker TV? Maybe they
- just buy the equipment and then they get to show it free?
-
- I ask because my local Food Lion has installed the Checkout Channel
- (Yes, I shop at Food Lion, but ONLY because they're the only halfway
- decent store within 15 miles in any direction... and I only buy
- pre-packaged products there, no meat or vegetables and certainly no
- pre-prepared products). What's the deal with the Checkout Channel? I
- can't imagine the store paying for the service; to me it looks just like
- the little ad spaces on the shopping carts, or the ads on the aisle
- signs, or the ads on the lights showing the number of the checkout lane.
-
- So what about these services? Who pays?
