  25. Does anyone receive Weatherwise or the American Weather Observer?  I'm
  26. now seeing advertisements for a cheap digital weather satellite
  27. reception system (re: Weatherwise Jan 93/back cover, AWO Dec 92 page 5).

  29.      The company running the ads is Data Transmission Network Corporation
  30. in Chicago.  They mention a startup fee of $250, and quote a price of $1.31
  31. a day.  They include a free reception computer, monitor, and 32" Ku satellite
  32. dish with cables and free shipping.  The ads show some impressive color
  33. graphics, such as small-scale radar composites, satellite photos, etc.  It's
  34. hard to tell who the products come from (they look like broadcast quality
  35. graphics), but offhand I don't see any good raw DIFAX-like products like
  36. LFM, NGM output etc.

  38.      This seems to be a very attractive deal, but I'm wondering if anyone
  39. might suspect a "catch" here... even at $250 and $40 a month, it looks almost
  40. too good to be true.  Could it be the absence of any raw data?  Any comments
  41. or observations?
