- Last night it seems the dish positioning motor seemed to give out.
- When I try moving to a different satellite, the Drake (1524) clicks
- normally but then gives the error 'No Pulse'. I checked the dish and,
- yep, it isn't moving. I also couldn't hear the motor kick in. The
- cable hasn't been cut (or at least it hasn't been completely cut) as I
- can still get all the channels that the dish is currently pointed at.
-
- A few more data points... the motor in question was replaced less than
- a month ago when I bought the IRD. The dish itself is a 10ft (I think)
- black mesh dish mounted on a pole beside the house, I don't have much
- information on the dish itself since the previous owners of the house
- bought it.
-
- I'm guessing that there isn't much I can do (aside from checking the
- cables and connections again) and calling for service. However, if
- anyone has any suggestions or comments, please send 'em to me. I'll
- summarize if there is interest.
-
- Thanks,
-
- Walter
