- There are some advantages to having basic cable and a dish.

- You can watch/tape more than one thing at a time.

- You can watch the cable in bad weather whereas the dish might be covered with
- snow or positioned in such a way to prevent accumulation of snow.

- town government, etc) which are not available on satellite.

- box.
