- Hmmmmm..... You must have been here during a very fluke period of
- temperatures. Our leaves turned color in JULY, which even made an ABC
- NEWSFEED as the earliest fall on record here. I do recall running my air
- conditioner about 6 days this past summer, and I can not stand temperatures
- above 70 degrees. Are you sure it was Marquette MICHIGAN you visited? You
- say PAST Marquette, and this may have been your problem. Marquette itself is
- where you want to be, like I am, three blocks from Lake Superior. The lake
- temperature is around 40 degrees on the hottest summer day, so those of us
- near the lake (specifically in the Marquette Harbor District) find nice cool
- temperatures ALL summer.
-
- Elaine LEFT in October in fact, because she was FREEZING.
-
- (The reference to the ABC NEWSFEED qualifies this message as TVRO RELATED)
-
- Further, I encourage you to tune in to the WEATHER channel, and note how many
- times during the year Marquette is the COLDEST or has the most SNOW. It will
- surprise you.
