- Here are a few odds and ends from the last couple of days:
-
- Hispasat-Ch.25 (KU)--TVE is back, this time with program audio on 6.60.
- Linearly polarized. No other ASC's. This is one killer signal. (31
- degrees west)
-
- PAS1-22(C) -- It looks like my SUR feed is testing LEITCH encryption.
- It was locked up tight all day 12/23, but is ITC once again 12/24. I
- guess I'll really have to subscribe now. The relay on Intelsat 506 (the
- inclined one at 50 degrees) remains ITC, and is very strong when it's
- "in the box", but disappears completely at its extremes of inclination.
- It was funny yesterday---that relay (which is on ch. 10) was showing
- that religious station from S2-21 instead of SUR from S2-22. Somebody
- must have set the channel wrong.
-
- More SUR stuff: I have noticed DIFFERENT programming on I506-10/S2-22
- (through the encryption) from that on the PAS1-22 feed from Peru. It
- happens when the former are showing Teleonce programming from Puerto
- Rico, or RadioTelevision Dominicana programming. The PAS1 feed happily
- keeps showing Colombia, Peru, Argentina or whatever's coming up from
- Peru at that time. Homestead must be getting the DR and PR stuff via
- microwave or something.
-
- Morelos2-23(C) I notice Nuestrocable has gone BMAC. No idea when that
- happened.
-
- S3-24(C) RTPi is playing some very enjoyable music when their color bars
- are up overnight. I haven't listened long enough to figure out if this
- is a domestic radio service, but I bet it is. There's also a weak ASC
- playing classical music at 6.12; anybody ID this yet?
