- IMHO, I believe that it is another cable company conspiracy to cut down
- on ALL competition! If they could they probabaly would reduce the power of
- the satellites so that 30' or larger dishes are required, but some cable
- companies would probabaly complain about the added equipment costs. :-)

- That is why there is nothing on Ku. The cable companies don't like
- the idea of people putting up 3' dishes and getting better service. I think
- that several years ago, HBO was on Ku, but they stopped that.

- But seriously, the only other case I have heard for moving to the
- western satellites is so that they can get customers in Alaska, etc. But
- I can't figure out why they put EAST COAST feeds on those satellites other
- than for the above mentioned reason.

- OBTW, I have the same problem. I can not recieve anything west of
- the satellite that the SCI/FI channel is on because my house is in the way.
- :-( I get great pictures from all the eastern satellites even with my 6'
- dish on C band. Too bad everything is moving to the western ones.
