  19.     IMHO, I believe that it is another cable company conspiracy to cut down
  20. on ALL competition!  If they could they probabaly would reduce the power of
  21. the satellites so that 30' or larger dishes are required, but some cable
  22. companies would probabaly complain about the added equipment costs.  :-)

  24.     That is why there is nothing on Ku.  The cable companies don't like
  25. the idea of people putting up 3' dishes and getting better service.  I think
  26. that several years ago, HBO was on Ku, but they stopped that.

  28.     But seriously, the only other case I have heard for moving to the
  29. western satellites is so that they can get customers in Alaska, etc.  But 
  30. I can't figure out why they put EAST COAST feeds on those satellites other
  31. than for the above mentioned reason.

  33.     OBTW, I have the same problem.  I can not recieve anything west of
  34. the satellite that the SCI/FI channel is on because my house is in the way.
  35. :-(  I get great pictures from all the eastern satellites even with my 6'
  36. dish on C band.  Too bad everything is moving to the western ones.
