- As I found out a few weeks ago when trying to tune in LTRN, some receivers
- have a switch on the back to disable the VCII and pass the signal through
- without locking up. On my system this works great--I get weird scrambled
- video on the TV, of course, but I'm able to tune in the audio subcarriers
- (which aren't VC encoded, unlike the primary carriers) just fine.
