- If you are dissapointed, think of how us Brits feel about it.
- We are sort of used to the service that BBC world service radio has given
- over the years, and expected the same thing to eventually happen to
- the TV service.

- Last I heard, it was about GBP 60 for a colour TV, and GBP 40 for B&W
- (surely, someone from the UK will correct me here), so, yes its about the same
- sort of price (for 2 BBC channels - with absolutely NO commercials, not even
- the "sponsorship" messages that PBS has).
-
- I would be perfectly happy to pay that sort of price (maybe even more) to
- simply receive a feed of domestic BBC1 & BBC2 programs - hell, I will even
- do the tape delays myself !

-
- If some people in the current British government had their way, it
- wouldn't be. Hadn't you noticed that the content of domestic programs
- on the radio service is declining ? Same reason - they are "saleable",
- and if you want them, you buy tapes from BBC enterprises !!!
