-
- Yes. The Memorex CP-8 will do just what you want. It learns up to 8
- different devices and can be programmed to remember sequence of commands.
- The current model is the CP-8 Turbo which sells for about $80 I think.
- It lists for over $100.
- Available from Crutchfield and J&R Music World. Also Damark has been
- closing out an earlier model called the CP-8 for $29.95. I have several
- of these and they are excellent. They have 5 built in timers which can
- be used to launch any one of your stored command sequences.
-
- I also have a Radio Shack Model that was discontinued with their latest
- catalog. If you can find one (model 15-1903) snap it up. I would love
- to find another.
-
- I would suggest if anyone wants one of these to buy now because they
- seem to be going out of style. Too complicated for the average Mr
- I. Pushbutton. Witness the success of the VCR+
-
- One last suggestion. Buy an HP95LX palmtop PC. The 512k version goes
- for around $380. It has a built in IR port for talking to other 95s
- or HP accessories. At least 3 different sources have made learning
- IR remote programs for it. A bit expensive, but it has Lotus 123
- and lots more, tried doing your taxes on your TV remote lately?.
- If there is any interest I can post more details.
