- Has anybody said is KGAY a "real" radio station - do they broadcast
- over the air in Denver? I'd be curious to know if they actually have
- a broadcast license with that call.
-
- The reason I ask is that many many moon ago when I was a freshman in
- college, I participated in a radio station which operated on carrier
- current with feeds to each dorm via phone lines - we were WTUL,
- 550 on your AM radio dial! Interestingly enough, we had so few
- listeners that for 6 weeks we once broadcast a dial tone when the
- phone company made a change - and no one ever mentioned it to us!
-
- In any case, we were originally WAVE (the school logo...) but were
- informed even though we wern't really licensed, we couldn't use
- WAVE because there actually WAS a WAVE (I forget where). I was
- wondering about a similar thing with KGAY...
