  10. Tonight I caught part of a show "NEXT STEP Episode 12" on the DISCOVERY
  11. Channel.  The last part of the show was an informational piece
  12. about THX sound systems for home video.  All of the video was shown on
  13. projection screens which had a wide aspect ratio. Apparently these
  14. demo systems were set up at George Lucas' SKYWALKER RANCH.  At two spots
  15. near the end they showed clips from CASABLANCA on the big, wide
  16. screen.  Aspect ratio 2.1:1 (I measured it)    !!!!!!!!!

  18. I think the faddish nature of widescreen/letterboxing has gotten
  19. out of hand.  Is this what we will get to see on widescreen HDTV?
  20. I find it hard to believe that the folks at Lucasfilm, Skywalker,
  21. and THX knew what was being done on this TV program.
