  21. I purchased the Sim X-Mas Carol last year and returned it.  The print was 
  22. not great (as mentioned previously.)  Even more of a defect was the audio.  
  23. It sounds as though Dolby units were switched in the audio chain during the 
  24. transfer even though the audio was not Dolby encoded.  This led to serious 
  25. pumping and significant level discrepencies (big time gating.)  This 
  26. happened with the original LD and tape issue of "Ghostbusters" (one channel 
  27. decoded the other not causing bizaare image shifting.)  The LD version 
  28. of "Days of Heaven" also suffered from NR decoding problems similar to 
  29. Christmas Carol.  Anyway, I purchased the VHS Sim Christmas Carol which is 
  30. probably as good as you are going to get for quite some time (it's cheaper, 
  31. too.)
