- Unfortunately (I guess) it looks like the title really is THE SWORD AND
- THE ROSE. The same title is used two different places in the brochure
- "Image New Releases #59" and the description matches Maltin:
-
- "At the royal court of Henry VIII, the King's word is law! And the King
- has decreed that his sister, Princess Mary Tudor, should wed the
- elderly Louis XII of France. But Mary falls in love with dashing
- Charles Brandon, an ambitious young man bound for America."
- Starring Richard Todd and Glynis Johns. Directed by Ken Annakin.
-
- That's all I know. I've not seen the movie.
