  15. The 5000 was introduced _before_ RC time code.  What I think you are refering 
  16. to is the 16 line TBC that is in the 5000.

  21. RC time code stores the Date and Time the tape was produced _and_ the frame
  22. number of each frame from the start of the tape in H:MM:SS:FF format.  It
  23. records this information in the section of the 8mm/Hi8mm tape reserved for
  24. index marks.  These are the index marks the EV-S550, EV-S900, and EV-S3000 can
  25. record on a tape.

  27. What it buys you is with a VISCA VTR (CVD-1000) or a V801 used with a VISCA
  28. Vbox or a RM-E700 LANC edit controller is frame acturate edits (+/- 2 frames).
  29. My new Ev2 VISCA software claims 100% frame acturate edits after I setup
  30. pre-roll adjustments - time will time.
