  22. I don't think so.  Here's what the flyer says:  "...Editmaster records
  23. NTSC, PAL, or SVHS from a video camera, or VCR directly to the standard
  24. hard drive in the Commodore Amiga."  TBCs are more for syncing signals on
  25. tape or for steadying such signals.  The board can probably rely on the
  26. sync pulse coming from the VCR or camera.

  32. Yes and yes.  It is a standard Amiga expansion card (not video card) so
  33. it will co-exist with a Toaster even in the A2000.  And one can easily
  34. output to the other although I assume you'll need a TBC to input to the
  35. Toaster and do any switching with other sources.

  37. But my feeling is that except for live switching, this will displace the
  38. Toaster.  There is no reason why software couldn't manipulate this system
  39. to do anything the toaster does except that you won't be able to do it
  40. live.  And there are already good 3D/rendering packages for Amiga that 
  41. are better than Lightwave 3D. ...Real 3D for example sounds like one of
  42. the best on the market for any platform and it's being improved all the
  43. time.  Futher, with DMI's Vivid-24 card, you'll be able to do rendering
  44. in real-time like the SGI's do.  You'll be able to render and animate
  45. real-time ...forget about single frame recording and playback.
