- I don't think so. Here's what the flyer says: "...Editmaster records
- NTSC, PAL, or SVHS from a video camera, or VCR directly to the standard
- hard drive in the Commodore Amiga." TBCs are more for syncing signals on
- tape or for steadying such signals. The board can probably rely on the
- sync pulse coming from the VCR or camera.

-
- Yes and yes. It is a standard Amiga expansion card (not video card) so
- it will co-exist with a Toaster even in the A2000. And one can easily
- output to the other although I assume you'll need a TBC to input to the
- Toaster and do any switching with other sources.
-
- But my feeling is that except for live switching, this will displace the
- Toaster. There is no reason why software couldn't manipulate this system
- to do anything the toaster does except that you won't be able to do it
- live. And there are already good 3D/rendering packages for Amiga that
- are better than Lightwave 3D. ...Real 3D for example sounds like one of
- the best on the market for any platform and it's being improved all the
- time. Futher, with DMI's Vivid-24 card, you'll be able to do rendering
- in real-time like the SGI's do. You'll be able to render and animate
- real-time ...forget about single frame recording and playback.
