- I have a Sony TR-705 (PAL version of NTSC TR-81) camcorder and a
- Panasonic FS-88 S-VHS VCR (I don't know what the NTSC version
- of this one is called).
-
- The camcorder has a pinhole called remote where one among other
- things can connect a VCR to control the camcorder via the VCR.
- However, I asked a salesman about this cable and he said it has
- to be the same brand for this to work (Sony -> Sony, Panasonic ->
- Panasonic).
-
- Does anyone know if this is true?
-
- What are the formats of the signals? Is it only the voltage levels,
- or is anything else different as well?
-
- Any ideas?
