- My local cable company added some channels to the basic and expanded services,
- but of course they didn't just add the channels into the unused slots, they
- moved existing channels around as well. Why do they do this? One would think
- that it would be a lot easier to keep current channel allocations as they
- are and just add the new ones in on empty slots. But then, I know nothing
- about this industry other than how to change the channels.
