- This was our experience earlier this year when my husband had to fly
- from Vancouver, B.C. (he took a flight out of Bellingham, WA, just
- like the Canadians do!) to New York City for his grandfather's
- funeral.
-
- Not one of the Canadian Air Lines was interested in making an
- accommodation for "emergency" travel.
-
- We felt lucky to have the assistance of a friendly United Air Lines
- ticket agent as well as an American Express travel rep - they made the
- arrangements and we drove into Bellingham to pick up the tickets and
- he boarded the flight.
-
- It's good to know that some business people actually realize they are
- in the "service" business and provide same with courtesy and
- compassion.
