- It depends on the player's contract. A standard NHL contract
- includes two salaries: one for the majors and one for the minors.
- Players are paid on (I believe) a semi-monthly basis. Their checks are
- calculated at the rate appropriate for the team for which they played
- and for the time of playing. A typical NHL player being sent to the
- minors gets about 30% of his majors salary.
