  19.         It depends on the player's contract.  A standard NHL contract
  20. includes two salaries:  one for the majors and one for the minors.
  21. Players are paid on (I believe) a semi-monthly basis.  Their checks are
  22. calculated at the rate appropriate for the team for which they played
  23. and for the time of playing.  A typical NHL player being sent to the
  24. minors gets about 30% of his majors salary.
