- England vs Delhi (1D - Faridabad, India, Jan 3)
-
- England opened their three-month tour of India by restricting Delhi
- to 190 for three by the close of play on the opening day of a
- three-day match on Sunday. England Captain Graham Gooch won the toss
- and sent Delhi in to bat under an overcast sky. Opener Hitesh Sharma
- made a laboured 87 in 365 minutes and was unbeaten at the close.
- Delhi's batting was overawed by the England attack and the home side
- crawled to a measly 95 for two at tea.
-
- This will be a very good match to watch the performances of
- Maninder Singh (especially after recent comments from G.Boycott),
- Atul Wassan and Vivek Razdan.
