  17.    England opened their three-month tour of India by restricting Delhi
  18. to 190 for three by the close of play on the opening day of a
  19. three-day match on Sunday.  England Captain Graham Gooch won the toss
  20. and sent Delhi in to bat under an overcast sky.  Opener Hitesh Sharma
  21. made a laboured 87 in 365 minutes and was unbeaten at the close.
  22. Delhi's batting was overawed by the England attack and the home side
  23. crawled to a measly 95 for two at tea.

  26. Maninder Singh (especially after recent comments from G.Boycott),
