  24. Thank you for making the correction; and, yes, I was thinking of the M&StL.  
  25. This occurred to me later that day -- after I'd left work, naturally.  Guess 
  26. my mind was numbed by my frantic last-minute Christmas shopping.  :)

  28. It was also pointed out to me that absorption of the M&StL and the CGW into 
  29. the C&NW would be more appropriately characterized as purchases than mergers.  
  30. The work forces were merged, but the properties were purchased.  Sound right?
