- As far as I know, the Lowe HF-150 and HF-225 (with options) have synchronous
- modes. Both models have double sideband; only the 150 has selectable upper
- or lower as well.

- In terms of performance, the Lowe radios simply outclass the SONY portables;
- they also cost almost twice as much.

- The HF-150 also has a wide-bandwidth double sideband "Hi-Fi" synchro mode for
- stations having no adjacent channel interference. This gives near-FM quality on
- strong signals in the clear. It must be heard to be believed.
