  15. I have had the Code3 for about a month now. Overall I am pleased. 
  16. As Tom Roach mentioned the software is a bit "quirky". The
  17. quirkiness is mainly due to the "stupid" copy protection scheme (my
  18. main complaint). It runs great on my 386 laptop but doesn't even
  19. want to install on my OS/2 machine.

  21. Given the copy protection sucks, the rest of the software is easy
  22. to get started with but difficult to master. The Code3 does
  23. everything, so by necessity it can be complicated. If you know what
  24. you are hearing simply pick the mode from the menu. If you are not
  25. sure, use the "shift-speed analysis" and then go to the
  26. "autoclassify" screen. If the code3 has enough info (about 70% of
  27. the time for me but I am new at this) it will lock on to the
  28. correct mode and all you have to do then is press enter to take you
  29. to the decoding screen.

  31. There is a lot of stuff that I have not had enough time to sit down
  32. and really figure out. There are tools like:

  40. These look good on the screen but I have very little idea how to
  41. use them yet.

  43. I have decoded modes with the Hoka that I never even knew existed.
  44. The latest is Hellscrieber.

  47. The Code3 does everything.
  48. The software can be simple to complicated, depends on how far you
  49. want to get into it.
  50. The copy protection for the Code3 sucks the same way copy
  51. protection sucks in general.
