  24. I'm one, and I'm going through withdrawl.  When I lived in NJ, I used
  25. to listen to Joe Frank on WFMU - boy I really miss that station.  Now
  26. I'm in DFW, TX, and as far as I'm aware none of the stations around
  27. here play his show.

  29. I'm considering trying to persuade one of the local public/community
  30. stations to carry it (or reruns until he returns from hiatus), but I
  31. fear my lone voice will be ineffectual.  Anybody have any
  32. recommendations on how I can bolster my case? For example, it would
  33. help to know how public/community stations decide what to pick up from
  34. syndication.  If a station already carries something from NPR, is it
  35. easier for them to pick up other shows?

  37. I also checked with KCRW about getting tapes of his show, and I seem to
  38. recall they're about $11.00/show.  That's too expensive a habit for
  39. me.  Do you think any libraries would purchase it for their multi-media
  40. collections?  I've done some searching around here, and all I've found
  41. locally is stuff from Garrison Keillor.
